Job Description:
Objective of the Role: - Part of the consulting organization, the work will involve, consulting clients on setting up a Finance Shared Service Centre (SSC) and managing large scale finance transformation programs.
Responsibilities: -
  • Understand and design finance processes and SOPs in a Shared Service environment.
  • Identify and document any short and long term improvement opportunities in processes and make recommendations to improve process efficiencies and internal controls.
  • Suggest improvement opportunities and conduct workshops to secure buy-in from all stake-holders for to-be processes.
  • Works closely with client representatives for standardizing and building consensus on the to-be finance processes for SSC.
  • Provide inputs to other streams like organization and change management and performances management to develop organization structure and to develop SLAs and KPIs for SSC.
  • Support the identification of training needs and develop training modules and impart process training to client.
  • Support the successful migration of the processes from business verticals to SSC by monitoring work shadow, providing training and implementation of to-be processes.
  • Using a deep understanding and experience of working on finance processes, the role will require analysis, design and improving key finance processes for our clients.
  • Data gathering, process analysis and improvement, ownership and support of team deliverables, basic project and stream management, experience of working in multi-disciplined teams, and developing knowledge of various sectors.

    Candidate Profile:
  • A good first degree or equivalent from a premier educational institution required.
  • 3-8 years experience (relevant).
  • Chartered Accountant or an MBA in Finance from a premier institute.
  • Practical experience of finance process or shared services solutions / design or having worked in a major finance transformation program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with high levels of enthusiasm and a good team player.
  • Worked within a significant finance process re-engineering or improvement programme.
  • Experience working in a major blue-chip organisation or consultancy company; demonstrated career progression.
  • Deep understanding and experience working on major financial ERP systems.
  • Strong general consulting skills and the ability to overcome internal barriers through drive, determination, influencing skills.
  • Ability to empathise with clients in politically challenging environments and to work to demanding timeframes / deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
