Responsibilities: -
  • Identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls which mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement.
  • Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support service offering or industry projects.
  • Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions.
  • Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services.
  • Assist in retention of professionals.
  • Participate in training efforts.
  • Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, organisation products and service lines.
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.
  • Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches.
  • Participate in proposal development efforts.
  • Participate in "add-on" sales to client.
  • Membership and visibility in professional & civic organizations.

    Candidate Profile:
    Qualification & Experience: -
  • Minimum of 8 years privacy and information management experience.
  • Prior management experience in a Big 4 or consulting environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • BA / BS in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, MBA / MS preferred.
  • CIPP, CISSP, or CISA certifications required.
  • Prior Big 4 or other professional services experience preferred.
  • Prior business development, marketing, or sales experience preferred.
  • Industry experiences in financial services, high-tech, and/or life sciences / healthcare preferred.
  • Willingness to travel.
    • Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: -
  • Understanding of how strategic business requirements align with privacy and security requirements. This includes a thorough understanding of how privacy relates to business drivers, technical implications, legal, marketing, as well as security functions in an organization.
  • Experience performing risk assessments, using risk assessment software or developing risk assessment tools at the enterprise level. Experience performing surveys and inventories across globally distributed organizations; including application, database and policy inventories a plus.
  • Experience performing security and/or privacy gap assessments and producing executive management reports on current practices that expose an organization to privacy and/or security risks. Experience with an organization's privacy and security due diligence efforts when entering into third party relationships or M&A activities a plus.
    • Must have experience in one or more of the following areas: -
  • Understanding of technologies used to collect, share, access and use personal data. This includes an understanding of technologies like cookies, P3P, JavaScript, CGI scripts, client side software, CRM, HRIS, data warehouse, and web analytic and decision support software.
  • Understanding of security methods and technical elements to protect personal data, i.e., access controls in the operating system, application and network environment, firewall, SSL, IDS, VPN, DMZ, encryption, digital certificates, biometrics, monitoring tools, mobile data protection, enterprise DRM.
  • Understanding of database technologies and associated encryption mechanisms used to store and protect personal and/or sensitive data.
  • Understanding of data masking, aggregation, and minimization solutions in support of operations and/or SDLC processes.
  • Experience assessing regulatory and industry requirements, building privacy and data protection requirements frameworks and performing audits of networks, operating systems and applications for privacy and data protection requirements.
