Role: - The Manager for Sourcing is responsible for the overall management of an assigned area of category expertise. This position is responsible for delivering year-over-year cost savings utilizing the Total Cost of Ownership approach with emphasis on the customer. Additionally, this position will identify, develop and implement strategies to increase value for its external / internal customers through the application of sound sourcing practices and Total Cost Ownership.
Develop and execute Strategic Sourcing policies, plans and objectives, develop and administers programs to maintain excellence in business relationships with the suppliers. Execute programs and practices aimed at reducing supplier base and to further integrate suppliers in Company’s operations.
Compliance to performance standards and objectives regarding quality, cost, timely delivery and customer satisfaction for Strategic Sourcing. Ensure approved company policies and procedures are being carried out. Execute long-range Strategic Sourcing strategies and plans. Ensure the selection, development, evaluation and management of subordinate Strategic Sourcing personnel.
Responsibilities: -

Manages assigned categories to create value and service to external / internal customers.

Provides counsel to internal customers during selection process and identifies category requirements.

Serves as subject matter expert in specific category area.

Develop category strategy including market analysis, RFXs, supplier evaluation and negotiation strategy, supply management and drive process to successful outcomes.

Manages supplier relationships in an ethical and professional manner.

Perform intermediate project management.

Drive and perform opportunity analysis to identify projects that will deliver significant cost savings and value improvement.

Analyze business processes to determine opportunities achieved through influencing supply and demand of services.

Work closely with end-users to influence their sourcing decisions based on sourcing and negotiation strategies.

Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Work closely with appropriate business financial teams to analyze, interpret and apply financial policies and procedures.

Interpret and communicate legal terms / issues to assist business in understanding and mitigating risk.

Lead negotiations with suppliers, create and manage supplier agreements for the sourcing of products / services based on in-depth spend and commodity analysis in collaboration with end-users and General Counsel to obtain the best overall terms.

Manages and tracks internal implementation and contract compliance.

Identifies and implements Total Cost Ownership cost reduction opportunities. Presents and reviews findings with internal customer (management) ensuring quality of product / service is not sacrificed.

Monitors supplier performance through regular contact with internal customer. Works with customer and supplier to resolve product / service and operational issues.

Identifies and implements best sourcing practices.

Manages multiple projects and priorities achieve agreed deadlines and deliverables.

A Leading Consulting Group

Bachelor of Science OR Business Degree required.

Related experience including extensive strategic sourcing experience in sourcing multiple, large complex categories for major, multi-nationals.
