Job Description:
Role: - The Procurement Agent’s primary responsibility is to ensure the procure-to-pay process functions smoothly for associates and suppliers in India. The Procurement Agent is responsible for expediting requisitions / purchasing requests and reporting status to the requesting associate. The Procurement Agent must have in-depth knowledge of the sourcing opportunities and current contracts in progress within assigned area. Knowledge of the account, project, and department structure is critical. The Procurement Agent must work with the Portfolio Directors to ensure supplier and contract compliance.
Responsibilities: -
  • Submission of requisitions, as appropriate.
  • Monitor requisitions during the approval process, providing status to requesting associates.
  • Working with Strategic Sourcing, ensure sourcing opportunities are recognized and existing contracts are leveraged.
  • Manage item categories within assigned Portfolio.
  • Upon approval of requisitions and execution of contracts, complete the vendor contract set-up process within the PeopleSoft system.
  • Process change requests, as necessary.
  • Process Return-to-Vendor situations, as necessary.
  • Review non-compliant invoices and work with Strategic Sourcing, internal customers, and the supplier, as necessary, to achieve resolution.
  • Monitor Vendor contract balances and expiration dates, taking action with proper associates.
  • Provide Portfolio Directors with trend analysis and other reporting, as requested.
  • Working with Portfolio Directors, process renewals within assigned Portfolio.
  • Monitor Requisitions and Vendor Contracts Weekly Metric Report.

    Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor of Science OR Business Degree required.
  • Knowledge in use of PeopleSoft, Oracle or other related ERP application software preferred.
  • Must be computer literate; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, and ERP Systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to communicate at all management levels.
  • Experience in managing transactions within a multi-facility global environment.
  • Proven analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Creative thinking / problem solving / proactive.
  • Able to identify and respond to obstacles and/or challenges.
  • Global mind-set and cultural awareness.
  • Project management and cross-functional team leadership -
          * Process requisitions within 48 SLA (Service Level Agreements)
          * Address Mailbox Inquiries within 48 Hours
          * New Item Code Set Up 48 SLA
          * New Supplier Set Up 48 SLA
          * Establish Vendor Contract 7 Day SLA.
