Job Description:

Responsibilities: -

  • Responsible within ND & PE for driving the delivery of the Technical / Engineering solution for the introduction of a new product or technology within organzation, ensuring quality, overseeing implementation of the solution, and obtaining approvals within the ND & PE organization.

  • Defines, controls and manages project(s), ensuring all the deliverables of the project are produced in accordance with agreed quality specifications, budget and time-scales and follow the ND & PE Development Process.

  • Builds and manages a virtual team of Engineers from various geographies and engages teams / contacts from across ND & PE as required.

  • Engages with product management, marketing, sales, operations and other key teams.

  • Creates and maintains project documents including plans, scope docs, key activities, milestones, dependencies, durations, task ownership, risks and issues for each activity.

  • Work with the teams to create technical, operational and product specifications.

  • Co-ordinates different areas of the project (Business, Supplier, Process Development, Change Management) and resolves any conflicts that arise within the team.

  • Ensures all key documentation is developed and maintained, including Project Scope, Project Milestone Plan, Risk and Issues Register, Tracking Dashboard, weekly and monthly reports, etc.

  • Ensure full and complete engagement of all necessary technical / engineering personnel to ensure all elements of the technical solution are defined.

  • Develops the requirements from the technical / engineering teams / functions on what is required to support the introduction of new product (i.e., lab equipment, documentation, training, testing, pilot systems, processes, procedures).

  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and gain buy in with stake-holders at a senior operational, marketing, management and technical level across the organisation.

  • MBA with relevant experience.

  • Domain knowledge, preferably within a telecom company, system integrator, or global telecom product supplier.

  • Self-motivated and an ability to energise matrix and virtual teams.

  • Excellent planning, risk and project management skills, detail-orientated.

  • Successfully managed cross-functional teams from Technical / Business / Operations / Support.

  • Strong technology management skills, understanding of technical concepts across multiple technical disciplines and ability to manage technical dependencies and mitigate risks.

  • Strong budgetary and business planning skills.

  • Influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

  • Flexible approach and an ability to operate effectively with uncertainty and change.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
