Job Description:

Main Purpose of Role: - To support the business in relation to knowledge management enquiries, particularly in the sales and bid stages, by: -

  • Facilitating the provision of knowledge objects (such as credentials, proposals, etc.).

  • Providing information of the appropriate and best use of the available knowledge tools.

  • Assisting with identifying the appropriate personal networks.
    The Enquiries Service does not remove the need for the business to "self-service" their knowledge. In support of the self-service ethos, we aim to answer most questions through the WinCentre’s comprehensive web site; however, there will be specific questions that require more assistance.
    Key Responsibilities: -

  • To be responsible for enquiries that come in to the WinCentre until they are resolved or where necessary passed on to an alternative "owner" who will see the enquiry through to its completion.

  • Ensure that all enquiries are resolved promptly and in a considered way.

  • Consult the wider WinCentre Team for advice and support in resolution of the enquiry and in some cases pass on the enquiry (by agreement) for resolution by other members of the team.

  • Be responsible for the enquiry management process to ensure that all received enquiries are recorded and their resolutions confirmed within the Knowledge Enquiries TRoom.

  • Identify trends in requests and areas of significant value and advise the Enquiries Services Lead.

  • To assist the Enquires Services Lead with maintaining the WinCentre intranet site and KE TRoom, ensuring all content is up to date.

  • To assist the Enquiries Services Lead to develop and formulate (and recommend) initiatives to improve the Enquiries Service.

  • To promote and publicize the Enquiries Service.

  • To track and monitor the source of all enquiries including, but not limited to, the Discipline in which the person making the enquiry is a member, how they found out about the ES, and whether they had previously searched the WinCentre intranet site.

  • This role does not involve submitting knowledge to the knowledge repositories except in exceptional circumstances.

  • This role does not involve undertaking any research work although efforts must be made to determine how the information may be obtained.

  • Contribute to the fulfilment of the WinCentre Knowledge Management Stream Objectives.

    Candidate Profile:

    Essential: -

  • MBA with relevant experience.

  • Excellent English (written and verbal).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work both as an individual and in a team.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent awareness of cross-cultural working relationships.

  • Ability to build relationships throughout the business and use them to accomplish goals and objectives.

  • Flexibility in work timings (due to time differences).

  • Experience in working with project teams remotely.

  • Good authoring and proof-reading ability.

  • Awareness / experience of Knowledge Management principles and their use.

  • Ability and willingness to work to tight time-scales.

  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work with clients and understand their requirements.

  • Knowledge of the various Capgemini knowledge tools and repositories.

  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise format.

  • Ability to search the internal knowledge tools effectively, and to choose the appropriate tool for different types of queries.
    Desirable: -

  • Understanding of UK Capgemini Sectors and Solution Centres.

  • Knowledge of the various Capgemini knowledge tools and repositories.

  • Understanding of the Capgemini business and methods.
