Job Description:
The role is to provide Solutioning expertise in the area of Desktop and Distributed Services (DDS)/Datacenter services (DCS)/Network Infra services(NIS) within a Global bid team. Working closely with the internal infrastructure management solutioning teams you will provide timely and consistent solution support to bids across all geographies of Capgemini’s Outsourcing division.

Primary responsibilities are:

Key Functions:
  • Answering specific prospect questions
  • Using available collateral to produce bespoke proposal content using prospect’s language, ensuring alignment with other elements of the solution
  • Seeking optimum mix of effective delivery and cost for solution sub-set
  • Preparing accurate cost estimations using existing costing/pricing tools according to costing guidelines
  • Ensuring that all responses match Capgemini’s standard pricing guidelines (solution description, question responses, assumptions and pricing and are in line with overall agreed bid solution and approach)
  • Ensuring that there is neither double-accounting nor missed costs (in relation to other service sub-sets), highlighting potential issues immediately in consultation with the solution manager
  • Obtain service line sign-off of the sub-set solution and associated costs


  • Bid Support

  • Interact closely with global / regional teams to build compelling solutions aligned with customer requirements
  • Interact closely with other service lines and disciplines in case of complex bids
  • Adapt quickly to changing bid requirements
  • Provide Desktop and Distributed Services expertise to support the Principal/Technical Solution Manager
  • Maintain knowledge of key elements that constitute Desktop and Distributed Services (eg Service Desk; IMAC / B/Fix and Deskside Support; Managed Deployment; Wintel server support and Hosting etc.)
  • Understand latest delivery processes and offers under Desktop and Distributed Services and apply these to solutions
  • Understand Desktop and Distributed Services-specific transition activity and apply these to solutions
  • Understand contemporary regional Desktop and Distributed Services Delivery Strategies (eg latest products and delivery approach)
  • Develop knowledge of Desktop and Distributed Service’s sign-off procedures for each region
  • Develop appreciation of regional Heads of Desktop and Distributed Service’s business objectives and approach
  • Understand the regional Desktop and Distributed Services Service Line organizations and build contact networks to effectively interact
  • Conducts due diligence activities to confirm validity of outsourcing solution definition where needed.
  • Participates in internal review process and responds to executive inquiries relating to solution definition and assumptions
  • Participates in Win / Loss Reviews and incorporates needed modifications to solution development processes

    Candidate Profile:
  • 5+ years of IT experience, preferred exposure to the pre-sales activities for few years and core delivery experience of AM/AD services
  • Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, PG diploma of Software, MBA
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills a must, Sales or Marketing capabilities will be added advantage
  • Worked on responses for RFP and RFI, preferably in outsourcing, AM / AD area
  • Good understanding of Estimation, various pricing methods and commercial aspects for AM
  • Good understanding of Service level, service credits/penalties
  • Exposure to Due-Diligence, portfolio analysis, transition, roll out, refresh processes
  • Exposure to various quality standards and process frameworks like ISO, CMM, ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, Sarbanes/Oxley etc
  • Understanding of various AM offerings like application transformation, application rationalization, mash-up, automation
  • Good hands on skill on Excel, PowerPoint required
  • Good understanding of the competitive bidding scenario, the competitors and bench markers
  •
