Responsibilities: -
  • Assume line management responsibility for the team of typically 8-15 Transactional Specialists reporting to this role.
  • Manage the day-to-day work of the team to maximize the effectiveness / efficiency of the team.
  • Serve as the first escalation point within the team for resolution of issues that require knowledge or skills beyond that of the Transactional Specialist.
  • Work closely with the Quality Specialist also supporting the efficiency / effectiveness of the team.
  • Fully understand all of the work processes performed by the team of Transactional Specialists.
  • Manage the individuals on the team, including appropriate HR processes and routines to ensure proper treatment of all individuals, high employee morale and high employee retention.

    Candidate Profile:
  • Graduate with 5 years work experience, including 2 years experience working as Transactional Team Lead in a BPO company in support of US-based multinational company, preferably in the procurement area. MBAs would be preferred.
  • 2 years experienced interacting with US suppliers.
  • High English proficiency and US cultural familiarity.
  • High aptitude in computer systems. Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Needs to be able to learn a wide range of systems, processes and roles quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and patience.
  • High personal integrity and ability to drive Organisation core values (safety, ethics, respect for all employees, environmental) across the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to and embrace Organisation culture.
  • The ability to conceptualize the effects of proposed procedural and system changes is also required area.
