Job Description:
  • The position is based for the Knowledge centre unit of our client in Bangalore
  • The position involves working on business re-engineering or change-management projects in a number of possible roles, including as project manager, business analyst, or technical expert on change/quality techniques such as six-sigma.
  • The position of Manager - BR has both a global and local role. Globally, the Manager - BR may be assigned to one of the global projects managed by the Head of Business Re-engineering, which will typically involve working in one or more global sites. Locally, the Manager-BR will also be required to work on change projects which will typically be smaller in scale than the global projects and less extensive in scope.
  • Most of the Manager-BR’s time will be spent working on projects. As such, the duties and responsibilities of the Manager-BR will be defined by the particular project definition/charter/manager. Generally, however they are likely to include the following types of responsibilities:
    • Project-management – such as planning, scheduling, controlling tasks, communication, etc
    • Business-analyst - such as analyzing existing processes, procedures, workflows and then recommending and helping to implement improvements
    • Technical-tools/expertise – such as using, or helping others to use quality or productivity tools such as Lean, Kaisen, 6-sigma, etc

    General Responsibilities

    The Manager-BR will also be required to:
  • Understand and comply with all relevant policies and procedures issued by the Group and contained within the Group Standards Manual and relevant Functional
  • Instruction Manuals, Desk Instruction Books and Process Guides
  • To assist senior management to manage all elements of operational risk related to the Compliance, Data Protection, Health and Safety and Money laundering reviews
  • Manage all elements of operational risk related to the Compliance, Data Protection, Health and Safety and Money laundering reviews.
  • To maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
  • To implement the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators

    Education Qualification:
  • First degree essential, probably in a scientific, engineering or mathematical discipline
  • Second degree, possibly MBA, highly desirable
  • Certification in disciplines such as 6-sigma also highly desirable

    • Skills & Experience:
  • Excellent analytical and creative skills Strong organizational, project management and planning skills, with the ability to execute efficiently, effectively and speedily
  • Excellent understanding of quality/productivity enhancing tools and
  • Excellent communication skills, plus excellent influencing skills
  • Knowledge of financial services
  • Focused, hard-working, results-oriented and a team-player

    • Ideally, 5+ years work experience, including some experience in line positions, plus project- or change-management roles, preferably with experience of Financial Services style environment
