India's Mobile Phone Mania...
Airtel v/s Vodafone... Who Will Win? May Be Reliance!

Currently, the huge number of its landline phones helps it to keep the title of India's Largest Telecom Operator but that title looks set to come under threat pretty soon.

  • Vodafone (previously Hutch)

Just before the "Hutch is for sale" news came out, Hutch was more popular due to its "PUG" rather than its service features & quality.

But then, Vodafone got its big break into the world's fastest growing telecom market through this company.

    Yes, Vodafone

The company that made the most unsuccessful acquisition in world history (German telecom company Mannesmann), the company that has exited 4 countries in the past 18 months (Japan, Sweden, Belgium & Switzerland), the company that had a not so comfortable start to its relations with partner Essar Group.

Well, all has not gone on too smoothly for Vodafone recently, but Arun Sarin (CEO, Vodafone) does have his eyes set on being the No.1 mobile service provider. Infact he aims to take the Hutch subscriber base to 100 million in the next 3 years (from the current number of just under 25 million).

So, the big question is that who will emerge as the king of India's mobile world...

To be honest, no one would be putting its money on BSNL to ever beat the likes of Airtel, Vodafone and Reliance, and emerge as the leader of the pack. Let us see why these three biggies are good enough to be up there.
