CAT 2012 Registrations to begin July 30

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2012 will be held from October 11, 2012 till November 6, 2012. CAT 2012 will follow the same pattern that was introduced last year when IIM Calcutta faculty, Prof Janakiraman Moorthy was CAT convener.

The test will be divided in two separately timed sections, namely Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. Both the sections will be of 1 hour 10 minutes each. CAT 2012 will have 60 questions in total (30 questions per section).

Alike last year, the candidates will not be allowed to switch between sections. And only after being done with Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation section, candidates will be allowed to attempt second section on Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning.

The sale of vouchers will begin from July 30 to September 17, 2012 while the online registration window will be open from July 30 to September 19, 2012. According to sources, CAT 2012 results will be declared on January 9, 2013.
