CMAT 2012 Begins Today

The maiden lap of All-India Council for Technical Educations (AICTE) Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) begins today. The maximum number of students who have registered for the test are from Mumbai, Pune and Jaipur, said SS Mantha, Chairman, AICTE.


CMAT-2012 will be conducted online in a test window of nine days from February 20 till 28 at 61 cities throughout India. State Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Nagaland and Goa have filed consent to accept CMAT 2012 scores. The scores will be used for admission in the post-graduate management programmes at degree and diploma levels nationally for admissions 2012-13.


The tests will be of three hours and held in two shifts from 9.30 am and 2.30 pm. Around 70000 MBA aspirants have applied for CMAT 2012 to secure admission in around 4 lakh seats in AICTE approved institutions and university departments. The results will be declared on March 11.


CMAT 2012 will have four sections and incorrect answers would attract negative marking (-1). For every four incorrect answers, marks of one correct answer will be deducted.
