After FMS and JMET, it is now Mah-CET’s turn to go into the trash bin from admission year 2013.
A notification published, dated Decmber 28, 2011, on the official website of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra revealed that the admissions to first year of two years full time AICTE approved MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM courses from the academic year 2013-14 will be carried out through CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) merit list only conducted by AICTE.
It was only last week that CoolAvenues had reported about the unprecedented change in the exam date of CET, as it was clashing with CMAT exam dates. The exam had to be rescheduled to March 11, 2012.
According to the official sources, 2012 will be the last year of Mah-CET. DTE does not seem to be complaining about the scrapping of CET, “having a single entrance exam is good for MBA aspirants as there would be less burden then,” says the source.
CET forms will be available from February 1 till 18, 2012 at identified Axis Bank Branches.
