Only 60000 Registered for September CMAT

Approximately 60,000 aspirants have registered for Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) which is scheduled to begin September 27.
The maximum number of students who registered for CMAT had opted test centres in Mumbai.
Almost 9000 chose test centres in Mumbai, while other popular test centres were Ahmedabad, New Delhi and Pune.
Earlier AICTE, the CMAT organizing body, extended the registration window by 5 days in order to give time to Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat states candidates ample time to register for the test. The two states only announced admissions to b-schools in their state through CMAT lately. Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan and University of North Bengal and Ambala had already shown their willingness of accepting CMAT scores.
However, leading b-schools like S P Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai; Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad and IMT, Ghaziabad who had earlier said that they may accept CMAT have now confirmed that they will not consider CMAT for admissions. IMT will be accepting CMAT scores for admission in its Nagpur and Hyderabad campuses.
CMAT will be held at 64 test cities through out India.
