Prometric, the official testing agency for CAT and trusted provider of market-leading test development and delivery solutions, today announced the official opening of two new world-class testing facilities. The new flagship centres meet the highest global standards for security, reliability, consistency of candidate experience, and convenience.

“India’s education system is becoming more international in scope. The modernisation of India’s approach to testing and evaluation is a critical component to ensuring that the Indian workforce continues to be seen as highly-trained, highly-productive and reliable,” said Soumitra Roy, Managing Director, Prometric India. “With the economy in its current state and competition for jobs and skills differentiation heating up, it is more critical than ever to enforce high security standards that assure fair testing experiences across the board. We believe these new standard-setting test centres will be a benchmark for all testing facilities in India.”

This decision to open these facilities represents an ongoing expansion and improvement of Prometric’s testing network which currently includes approximately 450 test centres in 102 cities in India, and more than 10,000 globally. The two new facilities are opening in Gurgaon and Hyderabad. The Gurgaon facility opened its doors to candidates over a week ago and offers 226 new seats. The Hyderabad facility offers 284 new seats and officially opened to candidates in August.

These world-class, state-of-the-art centres have been built according to the highest global standards and specifications for highly secure and robust testing facilities to ensure that the right test is delivered to the right candidate in a secure and consistent manner. Advanced technologies and best practices are employed at all Prometric test centres to safeguard clients’ testing programmes against unwanted behaviours either by candidates or other third parties.

Both these test centres are dedicated premises for the delivery of exams that Prometric administers on behalf of its global clients. The additional capacity provided by these new test centres will also offer more flexibility and convenience to the candidate community.
