Biggest Names from Corporate World Recruit from XLRI, Jamshedpur
If the year 2009 was all about resilience in the face of the storm, 2010 has marked the beginning of the resurgence. On the backdrop of a record breaking summer internship process, XLRI has done it again.
The class of 2010 has successfully made their entry into coveted positions all across the creme de la creme of the corporate world. Truly, XLRI has cemented its place among the best training grounds for world-class managerial talent.
The Summer Placement Process at XLRI was a resounding success, with the best of the corporate world vying for the brightest talents of this country. XLRI witnessed the highest ever number of offers made on campus and absorbed the increased batch size of 240 students with varied profiles from premier organizations such as NM Rothschild, J P Morgan Chase, Carlyle Group, Novartis, TAS, Microsoft, HUL, P&G, ABG, Cadbury among many more.
There was a 33.33% jump in the Pre Placement offers from last year with students being awarded with attractive jobs for excellent performance during Summer Internships. This reinforces the level of trust the corporate world has shown in XLRI students.
The Lateral Placements at XLRI have been an impressive prelude to the Campus Recruitment Process, with a rich mix of offers equally spread across various domains being offered to eligible lateral candidates for middle and senior level management roles. The number of Lateral offers doubled over last year with an average salary figure of 15.1 Lakhs.
Close on the heels of the successes during the Pre Placement season and Lateral Recruitment Program, the Campus Recruitment Program 2010 was carried forward in the four day traditional slotted process which saw 90% of the batch accepting offers made by some of the most coveted organizations for their Indian and International locations followed by a strategically planned rolling process which enabled 100% placements.
Number of offers
The Placement Process attracted 75 companies giving a total of 205 offers to a batch of 120 Business Management and 60 Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (HR) students.
The average domestic package stood at 14.2 Lakhs, a rise of close to 20% over last year's figure. The median figure for the average domestic salary of 12.75 Lakhs, echoes the focus on quality of job offers made at XLRI as a part of the Placement Season 2010.
