Good news for the students who could not take the Common Admission Test (CAT) on their originally scheduled date due to technical failures.

IIMs and Prometric have decided to extend the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 till 8 December. Earlier CAT 2009 was scheduled from 28 November to 7 December 2009.

According to the press note released by Prometric: On 8 December (Day 11), CAT 2009 will be held over one morning session in 20 cities. These cities are: Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Pune and Varanasi.

Prometric has also extended the hours for the CAT Candidate Care (1800 103 9293). It has added more candidate care agents and more telephone lines. Effective from December 3rd Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and phone support will be available everyday from 8am - 8pm throughout the testing period.
