CAT Toolkit
(From Now Till 18th November 2007)

Previous

Part - 2

First of all, from now on put a break on your studies. Enough is enough, friends! Feel proud and confident of what you have done till now. Now, work only on removing your CAT apprehensions.

Considering things which would give you an extra edge, begin with something small but very significant. If you are an out-station candidate, make it a point to reach the city of your examination center one day before the C-Day. If possible visit your center on 18 November 2007 and get familiar with the battle-ground.

Your battle-ground might be a beautiful place but DO NOT go sight-seeing on 18 November 2007. You can do all that on 18th evening, please. Just sit back and relax! Indulge in reading or may be doing some Reading Comprehension exercises, not to score or rate yourself but to keep a consistent reading speed. Believe me; if you can read fast, it would be much easier for you to scan through the complete CAT question paper in the stipulated time. So, the mantra is KEEP READING!

Another very important thing is to make it a point NOT to get involved in any kind of argument, debates or discussions with anyone, and anyone means ANYONE. Save your energy for the 18 November 2007. That is when you need it the most! TAKE REST! That is what will put you and your mind at ease enough for you to attack the questions most rationally. 17 November 2007 night will be crucial with you being very, very anxious but take 8-hours sleep. This will prepare you, that General, properly for the GREAT WAR on 18 November 2007.

Don't wear new apparel. No one that morning would have the time to see what you are wearing, take our word for it. Wear clothes you are comfortable in.

If possible, DO NOT involve yourself in a discussion regarding your preparation level for the exam, especially at your test level. Don't let people around make you feel jittery. Believe in yourself and keep thinking, "Yes You Can", and let others have their own way.

Hey! General, don't forget your weapons.

Bare minimum -

3 sharpened pencils
2 blunt pencils (to fill the ovals on OMR sheet)
1 blue pen
1 black pen
1 eraser
1 sharpener
