Mr. K. G. Garg, Chairman, ISME-Bangalore

Mr. K. G. Garg obtained his Bachelors & Master's Degree in Engineering from IIT Roorkee, India, and Grad. NDI from Chanute AFTC, USA.

Mr. Garg initially worked with Indian Aeronautical Regulatory Body and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, India for 27 years in scope sectors electronics, material sciences, aerospace, manufacturing, process industry, and has practical experience in Quality Assurance, NDI and control of processes at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited India, Garrett Co. USA, Dornier Works Germany, Aerospatiale France, Fokker Netherlands and Boeing USA. He was responsible for implementation of Quality System, Quality Improvements and Total Quality Management projects at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to meet high reliability requirements. Mr. Garg, as Management Representative & Chief of Quality of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore Complex, was responsible to get quality system, process and product approvals from Aerospatiale, Fokker, British Aerospace, Dornier and Boeing including Indian regulatory and certification bodies.

Mr. Garg is also a qualified lead assessor for ISO 9000 from Neville-Clarke, U.K. and registered with IRCA, U.K. as lead auditor and a qualified lead auditor for AS 9100 from Plexus Corporation registered with RABQSA. He is also a qualified lead auditor for TL 9000 from Excel Partnership Inc., USA.

Mr. Garg is also the Chairman of NVT Quality Certification Pvt Ltd., (Business Partner of KEMA Quality, Netherlands) responsible for overall functioning of certification body in India and as lead auditor to carry out assessments of companies. He is also the Chief Executive of NVT Centre for Quality Excellence India (an affiliate of Quality & Environmental Development Corporation Limited, U.K.) providing training programmes in ISO 9000 and Quality Management including registered IRCA, lead auditor / auditor quality management system programmes as lead tutor.

Mr. Garg is also a member of Institute of Metals India, Institution of Engineers India, Aeronautical Society of India and National Institution for Quality & Reliability. Mr. Garg has presented more than 50 papers in national and international conferences.
