1. General Questions

Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. Am an Arts Graduate (Political Science & Geography) and I graduated in 2006. I completed my graduation through correspondence mode as I was working in a government department. I appeared for CAT (82 percentile) in 2005, appeared for NMAT and got wait-listed for final selection.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. I decided for MBA during my first year of graduation itself.

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. The first step was to start getting into the loop of knowing the latest business happenings in India and the world. The aim was to create a mind-set wherein I could understand the complexities of the corporate world. Reading business newspapers, magazines and watching business channels on TV helped me in this crucial first step.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. NMIMS-Mumbai, ITM-Mumbai, IMT-Ghaziabad, Welingkar's-Mumbai, SIIB-Pune, SIBM-Pune, MDI-Gurgaon, MICA-Ahmedabad and IMI-Delhi.
