5. After Joining MBA

Q. Were you able to get the school of your choice or did you compromise and opted for the best option that was open/available for you?
A. Yes, I got into the school of my choice.

Q. Did work experience help in getting the choice of your school and also in dealing with the curriculum?
A. Not Applicable, as I am a fresher.

Q. After joining the school, did you ever wish that you should have known certain more things about the school before you became part of it? What are these?
A. No, I got all the information about the school from the seniors before I joined.

Q. What is the toughest area to handle in your studies?
A. The projects, assignments and case studies require a lot of browsing, field-work and also time management.

Q. Which one is your best subject?
A. Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis, and Marketing.

Q. Is there stress level during studies?
A. Initially, I had difficulty in managing many assignments and projects, but now I have learnt to manage them.

Q. Who is the best faculty at your B-school?
A. Prof. Sundar for Marketing, Prof. David Jawahar for Organizational Behavior.

Q. What's the best and most admirable feature of your institute?
A. Students are empowered in most of the activities, like PLACOM, a committee which takes care of placement activities under the guidance of our director, PRCOM for PR activities, SYSCOM looks after the entire IT infrastructure in the campus, and MESSCOM which takes care of the entire mess activities. And SPORTSCOM and KALAICOM provide entertainment for students by organizing events like freekick-football tournament. Apart from this, we have functional committees like FINCLUB, BISMARC, etc,.

Q. Scope of development in your existing curriculum.
A. I think we have a good mix of subjects from all the areas in the first year, and in the second year, its as per students' interests.

Q. Getting into and sailing through a B-school is easier for a Science graduate than for someone from Humanities background. Your comments, please.
A. Yes, I do agree partially. Students of Science background will find it easy in areas like Finance and Operations, whereas students of Humanities will have an edge in HR.

Q. Tips for those who wish to do MBA from your school.
A. If you are a fresher, brush-up the concepts you studied in your under-graduation, and for people with work experience, be prepared for any question from the domain in which you worked. BIM is a beautiful place to spend two years of your life to make you a first-rate manager of tomorrow.

Concluded.
