1. General Questions

Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. I did my schooling from Children's Academy (ICSE Board), Jaipur, where I was active in public-speaking activities etc, I was also appointed Head Boy of Student's Council. Well, then I completed Bachelor of Commerce from Commerce College, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Along with my graduation, I assisted my father in the family business.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. I wanted to do MBA since my school days because family business always inspired me to get education in Business Management. However, things were not very clear till I got into graduation as I had decided not to do CA, so only option left was MBA. I thought it would even give me added advantage in running the family business.

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. Focus is most important so I moved out of my hometown, i.e., from Jaipur to Delhi in final year of graduation and joined Career Launcher, South Campus. This led me to the world of future MBAs.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. Being a fresh commerce graduate with average academics, I didn't have many options. So I aimed for full-time courses of top-15 B-schools. Performance in Mock Tests gave me an idea of which all B-schools and courses I should target.
