IRMA Mentorship Programme

A brilliant initiative taken by the Media Secretary of our batch, Mr. Amit Goel, the IRMA Alumni Mentorship programme has started a heralding era in the history of IRMA.

This brainchild of Mr. Goel has seen unprecedented success right since its inception, with 100 plus alumni having agreed to mentor the graduating batch of 67 participants. After all, IRMA stands on the principles of co-operation, a virtue hard to find in people today owing to their busy and fast life.

When this idea was floated among the batch, we all were extremely thrilled because this was a very novel concept and we were certain we would reap huge benefits out of this effort. But, some of us were initially a bit sceptical also. Such an effort requires a lot of commitment, time and effort, and given our hectic schedule at the institute, we were not really sure if this effort could be sustained on a long term basis. However, Mr. Goel has exhibited exemplary commitment, zeal and consistency in making this ambitious project truly viable and successful.

Same is the case with many of us who wish to opt for different career paths. So, a fit between the alumnus and participant was the most important and crucial determinant of success of this programme. Again, many of us are still confused and have numerous doubts about which sector we should join after graduating from IRMA. We now certainly have pillars of strength and support in the form of our alumni who are more than willing to help us out of this precarious situation. Many of our fears and myths have been dispelled by talking to our alumni, thanks to their rich experience. So we are actually privileged to be benefiting from the experience of our seniors, something that many newbies are denied. Once the match was made, Mr. Goel introduced both parties to each other and from then on, relations between the mentor and mentee started evolving.
