Background

Q. Can you tell something about yourself and your pre-MBA qualifications?
A. Hello, my name is Aadarsh Himmatramka and I am 24 years of age. I am a proud resident of Mumbai and believe it is one of the best cities to live in the world. I believe in living life to the fullest and that nothing is impossible to achieve in this world if one is focused towards it. Some of my idols are Roger Federer, L. N. Mittal - people who have achieved a lot through sheer hard work and at a young age.
I did my schooling at St. Theresa's Boy's High School, Bandra, and I am commerce graduate from N. M. College, Mumbai. I did my Masters in Commerce from Mumbai University, and then worked for a year in Marketing field in a textiles company before joining MBA course.

Q. So when did you decide to go for MBA?
A. Well, the decision to go for MBA was formally taken by me after my college but it was always there at the back of mind during college days. It was the mix of both money and career opportunities available that prompted me to take up MBA.

Q. What was your first step to start preparation for getting into the school of your choice?
A. Well, the first step was listing down the institutes which offer quality education, and then checking the requirements of each institute and accordingly getting registered for the exams.

Q. Which MBA institutes and programs you identified for your MBA?
A. It was not a very long list actually, the target was the top-20 institutes in India which had a proven track record in terms of placements and academia. Also, at this stage it was the feedback from friends and relatives which helped in listing down institutes.
