Placement 2005

 IMT Ghaziabad

Press Release
PGDBM & PGDHRM Placements 2005 @ IMT Ghaziabad

The recruiter's verdict has long been believed as the litmus test for any B-school's talent pool. In 2005, IMT had the first specialized batch of Human Resources Management passing out along with the flagship PGDBM course, making the total number of students to be placed at a whooping 165.

However, IMT took the challenge head on and achieved 100% placements in record time . 47 companies participated in Placements 2005 and a quite a few more had to leave empty-handed since a student can take only one offer as per the placement rules.

It has been seen as a regular trend over the past years that the compensation package at IMT has increased on an average by about a lakh per annum per job over the previous years. The biggest recruiters in terms of number of students this year were Citigroup, Satyam Computer Services, Idea Cellular and Wipro Technologies.

Some of the companies which have participated in recruitments for the first time or after a gap at IMT are Cadburys, Reebok, Marico, Citigroup, Kotak Mahindra Bank, State Bank of India, CARE, Wipro Technologies and Birla Soft.

The placements were majorly dominated by IT Sector (24%), Banks & Fis (23%), Service Industry (12%), FMCGs and Consumer Durables (7%) and the rest 34% in Manufacturing and Automobile companies.

2005 had IMT alumni coming back as recruiters in companies like Zee Telefilms, Radio Mirchi, Reebok India, TCS, Citigroup, ICICI Bank, Satyam Computer Services, Seagram India and many more.

Some of the regular recruiters that returned to the campus again this year were GE, Dabur, Agrotech, Henkel Spic, Whirlpool, Ramco, HDFC Bank, Development Credit Bank and many more.

IMT also saw the Telecom majors Bharti, Idea and Tata Tele Services participating in Placements 2005. Other significant companies to visit the campus were Becton Dickinson, Godfrey Phillips, Jubilant Organosys, Sify, BPCL, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, Wep Peripherals, Career Launcher to name a few.

A beaming Prof. Nilanjan Chattopadhyay, Chairman Placements at IMT, Ghaziabad stated that Placements at IMT, Ghaziabad truly represented a national character, with West dominating with 43%, South with 30% and others taking over 27% of the students.

It was once again proved that IMT is second to none in management education and talent pool available for recruiters across the country and abroad.
