Entry to IIFT: A recapitulated experience of an IIFT student

CoolAvenues spoke to Srinivas R, a second year student of MBA (International Business) at IIFT about his experience regarding his preparation for exams, choosing the right institute, handling GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview) and life at IIFT.


A topper in Mechanical Engineering with 34 months of work experience with Wipro, Srinivas R always wanted to grow in life. “I always wanted to do MBA since the time of graduation, but the inclination to do it with at least 2 years of Work-Experience prompted me to take up serious practice session during 2008. And thus was able to make it up for the 2009 Batch successfully,” says Srinivas.


Though Srinivas applied for various management schools including IIMs, he opted for IIFT because of specialization in International Business, excellent record of accomplishment and good Government support.


About IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade)
IIFT is an autonomous organisation, established in 1963 by the Government of India. The institute aims to help the Foreign Trade Management of the country thus regularly amends the course curriculum to meet the recent trends in international business.


‘National Assessment and Accreditation Council’ (NAAC) have accredited the institute as the “A” grade institute. Around 52 full time faculties who have high academic as well as professional experience guide the students to groom as future professionals.
