CAT 2012 Day One: 4,429 candidates registered
The first day of CAT '12 is over. The paper was not very different from that of CAT '11, as told by aspirants who appeared for CAT 2012 in the morning slot at a test centre in Noida.
Looks like IIMs have learned from their mistakes made in the earlier versions of online CAT. After 3 years of technical glitches, dysfunctional servers and repeat tests, the IIMs finally delivered a smooth exam with no technical nag being reported from any of the test centres throughout India. However, we did hear about some distress among candidates queued up outside test centres in Delhi.
Students have reported that all questions of DI and AR were in sets of 3.
Prometric has confirmed that 4,429 candidates registered for the CAT today. Both sessions have concluded and all candidates who started their tests have completed successfully.
We are pleased that the first day of testing has ended smoothly, and will continue to stay focused on providing candidates with the best possible experience, said Soumitra Roy, Managing Director, Prometric India.
There are no scheduled tests tomorrow, and testing will resume on Saturday, 13 October.
