CET Maharashtra: Deadline for domicile certificate submission extended
Jun 14,2011
The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has extended the date for submission of domicile certificates for candidates who failed to do so within the stipulated time. The DTE has allowed candidates to submit their domicile certificates from June 20 to June 23, 2011.
The decision was taken after huge demand from aspirants to extend the deadline. Some 1000 students were unable to furnish their domicile certificates and other 200 failed to submit their ‘Non Creamy Layer Other Backward Caste’ certificates by May 31—the previous deadline.
The DTE announced it by putting a circular on its website notifying candidates that they can change their category by furnishing domicile or non-creamy layer certificates between the given dates.
If the decision brought hope and happiness among aspirants who failed to furnish their document within the previously stipulated time, it had counter reactions from those who did the paper work on time. they felt that DTE is being partial and promoting aspirants to be irresponsible.
Concluded.
