IIM Ahmedabad to host General Management Programme in Bhutan
The General Management Programme (GMP) in Bhutan is for managers holding positions of responsibility within functional departments of medium to large public and private sector organizations. The participants should have at least five years of managerial experience after graduation.
A participant for the GMP must have demonstrated outstanding ability, leadership qualities, and potential for growth. As the programme makes exceptional intellectual and emotional demands, participants should have an inquiring mind and capacity to think clearly. They must also have a high degree of adaptability and maturity to work and interact closely with other participants under considerable pressure. The participants are expected to take up leadership positions in their organization in 5-10 years of time.

The objectives of the programme are to:

Provide a global perspective of financial and economic environment.
Create value through understanding of strategy in finance, operations, marketing, and human resource management.
Provide an opportunity to learn the concepts and tools for more effective decision-making.
Improve leadership skills to manage effectively in a dynamic environment.
The programme is divided into several interdependent modules each of which focuses on a different aspect or function of management. Each module of the programme will include intensive group exercise which would help participants consolidate their learning from various modules of the programme.

Concept of corporate strategy.

The cost of stay for the duration of the programme would be Rs.50,000 (without deducting taxes). The cost of stay includes accommodation, food, transportation, and local sightseeing. This amount is payable to DHI Infra Limited.
