presents IT Seminar on
Systems Continuum 2005: "IT - The Road Ahead"
On 5th-6th February 2005

Previous

  • Building on the great success of Outsourcing (ITES-BPO)
As the pressure to cut costs increase and the opposition to outsourcing diminishes does the emergence of ITES-BPO sector signify the beginning of a new era?

What are the challenges ITES-BPO will face? What are the opportunities they can exploit?

  • Tapping Product-centric opportunities
While India has been able to establish its strong credentials in the IT services arena, India has not been able to make a dent in the software products market. India has only been able to capture a meager 0.2% of the US$ 180 billion market.

Why is it that the Indian companies do not make such products as MsOffice, Oracle DB, CA Brightstor etc? Should there be a paradigm shift for this to happen? What is it that takes to be a successful product company?

CONTINUUM 2005 aspires to provide answers to these questions by offering a platform for interaction and debate, and an avenue for presenting a future roadmap for IT industry.

This edition of systems CONTINUUM brings one face to face with: -

  • Arindham Basu, Vice President, Kanbay

  • Guru Malladi, IT Advisory Services, Ernst & Young

  • Jessie Paul, Head of Marketing, iGate Global Solutions

  • Milind Padalkar, VP, Patni Computer Systems

  • Paramesh Vaidyanathan, Director, Developers Tools Group, Microsoft

  • Prasad Kulkarni, Senior Partner, KPMG

  • Ramesh Padmanabhan, COO, MPhasis BFL

  • Ranjit Samra, Executive Director, Morgan Stanley

  • Sangita Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Wipro Technologies

  • Sunil Joshi, VP, Global Delivery, Mahindra British Telecom

  • Vikas Keni, GM, Delivery Unit (Insurance), Mastek
