Objective:

  • To provide familiarity with managerial aspects of both of TQM and TPM function to achieve maintenance objectives

  • Total Quality Management (TQM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

  • Maintenance Strategy and Planning, Maintenance Role in Cost Reduction and Quality, Productivity and Cost Optimizations, Technological Upgradation and ISO-9000 related Maintenance issues, Energy Conservation and Maintenance Function

  • TQM and TPM Diagnostic Techniques including Condition Monitoring, Signature Analysis, Fault Free Analysis, SS, Concepts, Control Charts, Sampling Schemes, etc.

  • Value Analysis / Engineering, spare parts management

  • Qualitative Approaches to Maintenance Management and Component Life Estimate, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability

  • Maintenance Effectiveness Analysis and Maintenance Information System

  • Quality and Maintenance Organization, Manpower Planning Motivation / Incentive Schemes, HRD

  • Quality and Maintenance Decisions related Game and Case discussions, Use of Computer in Maintenance Management

  • TQM and TPM and Zero Maintenance Concept and zero defect production
