Objectives: The field of System Dynamics (SD) is thriving. Over the past decade, many top companies, consulting firms and government organizations have used SD to address official issues, in almost all the functional areas and organizations as a whole. SD is a way of studying the behavior of any system to show how policies, decisions, structure and delays are inter-related to influence growth and stability.

The main objective of this programme is to acquaint the participants with the methodology of System Dynamics and System Thinking and its applications in various situations including development of policies and plans, evaluation of various alternate strategies in changing future scenarios to arrive at an optimum response strategy and also to obtain answers to various kind of "What if" situations which the CEO, Senior level Managers/Executives, Policy Planners, and Researchers confront with quite often while making decisions.

For: The course is inclinated for the CEO, Senior level Executives/Managers from various industrial organizations, government departments, non-government organizations, Researchers from Academic/Research Institutes.

Contents: The course would cover the following: -

• Introduction to System Dynamics Methodology and iThink & Stella Software

• Basic diagramming tools: Casual loop diagram, Policy structure diagram and Flow diagram

• Computer simulation and strategic Formulation

• Modeling of Production Distribution System

• Application in Corporate Planning or long0range Planning of a system

• Application in various functional areas, like Finance, Marketing, HRD, Non-Corporate System
