Objectives: It is now widely recognized that organizational competitiveness may be enhanced or developed based on an effective manufacturing strategy and its implementation. In the Indian context, this may be a route by which the global presence of Indian companies may be enhanced and their domestic defence capability be improved. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a basic understanding of the strategic importance of manufacturing and how to enhance the manufacturing competitiveness of an organization.
