Objectives: The programme seeks to provide a comprehensive managerial perspective on Enterprise Systems with the following specific objectives: -

• To provide the participants with an overview of the functionally, architecture and technology underlying Enterprise Systems: ERP, SCM and CRM.

• To analyze the factors that lead to successful evaluation, acquisition, planning, design and implementation of an ERP package in an organization.

• To provide the participants with an appreciation of emerging trends, issues and technologies related to Enterprise Systems.

For:

• Executives and functional managers at the middle and senior level, systems managers involved in the evaluation, acquisition, planning, design, implementation of Enterprise Systems (ERP, SCM, CRM) in their organizations.

• Consultants and IT professional involved in implementation of Enterprise Systems.

• Managers seeking to stay abreast of emerging trends / technologies related to Enterprise Systems.

• Management educators / faculty planning to integrate Enterprise Systems in their course curriculum would also benefit from attending the programme.

Contents:

• Overview of Enterprise Systems (ERP, SCM, CRM)

• Major ERP functionalities: Financials, Manufacturing, Inventory, Materials management, Sales and distribution

• Overview of SCM and CRM software functionalities

• Business Process Modeling vis-à-vis ERP

• Evaluation, Acquisition, Planning, Design and Implementation of ERP Systems

• Extending ERP beyond the enterprise

• ERP limitations and emerging trends, issues and technologies

Hands-on exposure would be given on Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision / Axapta with whom IIML has signed an academic alliance to illustrate / reinforce the concepts taught and discussed in the course. The course would be taught by an interdisciplinary team of IIML faculty members from Operations, IT and Systems, Marketing and Finance & Accounting areas and would be complemented by guest speakers from the industry.
