Objectives: In today’s high technology environment, organizations are becoming more and more dependent on data and information because knowledge derived therefrom provides the most important competitive advantage.
These organizations identify information as an area of their operation that needs to be protected as part of their system of internal control as customers are becoming increasingly concerned about the misuse of information, particularly personal data. The threats to information systems from criminals and terrorists are also compounding every moment. In the circumstances, executives responsible for corporate governance must understand, direct and manage the information security efforts within their organizations. This 2-day programme sets out, in practical terms, how to plan and operationalize IT governance in organizations that wish to adopt best practices, whether publicly quoted, privately owned or in the public sector.
