Objectives: The programme has been specifically designed for the software professionals to make them aware about themselves and their leadership styles. The programme will focus on issues related to managerial effectiveness in software service organisations.
Specifically, the programme will strive to achieve following learning objectives: -

  • To help the participants become aware of themselves in terms of their hopes, aspirations, values and vision

  • To facilitate the participants to become aware of their interpersonal behaviour and its impact on their managerial effectiveness

  • To create awareness amongst the participants about their leadership style. Further the programme will facilitate the participants to acquire skills in managing projects and manage knowledge workers in software service organizations

  • To acquire skills for attracting and retaining talents

  • To help the participants to become aware about factors that empower, inspire and motivate them and their team members

  • To develop skills in effective team working and group decision-making. Particularly, the programme will focus on issues involved in managing and being part of virtual teams

  • To help the participants to appreciate how documentation can help them to improve their role performance and performance of the organisation. Further, the programme will focus on issues involved in creating culture for knowledge management

For: Project leaders, module leaders and software professionals being groomed for leadership positions are likely to benefit from the programme. HR managers and other supporting staff will find the programme relevant and useful. Our experience suggests that the transfer of learning from classroom to the work situation is more effective when a team of two or more participants from the same organisation participate in the programme.
