Objectives: Indian derivatives markets are witnessing a change with many derivative products being made available to traders. Indian corporate sector is also witnessing a similar wave of change with an increased
exposure to risk. The corporate treasury managers are now required to understand these new derivative products and be able to apply them. The complexities of financing the balance sheet are only adding to the problems of hedging and thereby making the companies vulnerable to risk. Basic Derivatives is a management development program that intends to demystify the concepts of pricing and hedging that particularly address the learning needs of corporate treasurers.

For: Corporate treasurers / finance managers / CFOs of manufacturing, service sector export houses, and trading houses.

Contents: The program uses simple examples and exercises to illustrate the working of derivative instruments. The program intends to provide hands on experience in the use of these products. The coverage of the program includes futures, options and swaps to manage the hedging issues of interest rates and currencies.
