Objectives: In a competitive environment, organizations are able to perform better and enhance value through aligning employee performance with organizational objectives. Research into enablers of high performance has conclusively shown
that performance is dependent on organizational efforts in enhancing employee commitment and competency levels, as well as fostering a culture of performance. Thus, sustained competitive advantage for organizations is determined, in general terms by the degree of people orientation of the organization or more specifically the efficacy of the performance management systems and practices.

The performance management systems of successful organizations should be designed to enable employees to contribute at optimum levels through a continual and cyclical process that includes among others goal setting, measurement, feedback, rewards and competency enhancement. At the process level, organizations have to develop a culture suited for supporting performance.

This programme is designed to familiarize participants with the foundations of performance management systems from the strategic perspective as well as expose them to the latest trends in research and practice in design and implementation of performance management systems.

For: This programme will be useful for middle and senior level HR professionals involved in the design development and implementation of Performance Management Systems. Line functionaries at the levels of department heads / SBU heads will also benefit from this programme.
