DataRPM raises $ 5.1 Million Series A Funding from InterWest Partners

DataRPM a natural language BI and analytics company has raised $ 5.1 Million from US based VC firm, InterWest Partners and existing investor CIT Gap Funds.

The company has raised seedfunding of $ 800,000 in 2013 from CIT Gap Funds.


The company started by Shyamantak Gautam, Sundeep Sanghavi and Ruban Phukan has offices in USA and a R&D centre in Bangalore. The company is currently focused on US clients but plans to market its products in Asia and Europe. The company will use the funds to expand its sales and marketing, increasing employees and for R&D activities.
 

DataRPM uses sophisticated algorithms to automatically and dynamically create data models and identify entities and relationships in the data. It creates datasets automatically from data residing across different database tables and different data sources. The customer does have to writing SQL or do aggregations as DataRPM does it automatically. The company uses a distributed computation search index, similar to that of Google Search to make data more readily accessible and drastically reduce the time and cost of modelling semi-structured data.
 

The company now has 17 customers in markets like financial services, telecommunications, media, and even software developers, and 25 employees - including in research and development facilities in Bangalore.
