Mygola, a Bangalore based online travel planning company co-founded by Anshuman Bapna and Prateek Sharma has raised $ 1.5 Million from Helion Venture partners.

The company had raised $ 1 million from 500 start-ups and Blumberg Capital in December 2011.

The company offers online trip planner and bookings. It has curated itineraries which can be customised by the users. The company follows a question and answer model for information sharing and working out the travel arrangements. The company also proposes to create a revenue model on the same basis. The first question will be free and then onwards, every question will be charged. The user can pay a yearly subscription and get multiple travel plans in a year.

The site has tied-up with expedia.com which it re-directs its users for bookings for travel and stay.

The current funding will be used to expand its presence in the US markets. The company has an office in Maryland, USA. US markets contribute about 25-30% of its revenue. CEO Bapna will be shifting to the US to strengthen its business development and marketing efforts.
