Chaos Masala 2004: IIM Ahmedabad |
The Annual Cultural Festival at IIM Ahmedabad A Report on Day 2 Celebrations CHAOS CONTINUES Tonight was a treat for music lovers at Choas Masala 2004. The evening saw luminaries such as flute maestro Pt. Ronu Majumdar and the versatile Hariharan singing their soulful compositions and enthralling the packed audience at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Despite a chilly evening, Hariharan entertained the audience for a non-stop two hours with ghazals and songs ranging from "Yeh Lamhe Yeh Pal" to his best received "Roja Janeman". Requests from the crowd poured in and he gracefully obliged them all. He got the crowd singing with joy and ended the show to a standing ovation. The day saw various events ranging from Rangshala - a one-act play competition to informal events such as Anda faik- tamasha dekh, Besura Gaan, JAM and Crescendo. Non-stop fun and frolic continued at the Tower Lawns with contests such as "Best Funky Mobile Phone Tunes" to "Original Joke Deliveries" and "Bun Maska" - the face painting competition. For those who still need a reason to hit the most happening place in Ahmedabad, 24th promises to be a glamorous evening with Colgate Fresh Energy Gel Bombay Dreams - the Western Dance Competition and Fa Dreamweave - the Fashion Parade where six of the best teams will walk the ramp showing their collections with poise and grace. More to come:
