The stage is all set and the buzz is around on campus – Tata Confluence 2010 is just round the corner. The campus would soon be host to industry stalwarts and students from top management schools across the country as India’s largest B-School meet kicks off on Friday, 26th November 2010.
The key new event for this year would be ‘Campaign for a Cause’. This event uses audio-visual medium as an effective means of communication to highlight public policy issues. Shortlisted teams would be presenting their short films to a jury comprising noted film actor Rahul Bose, producer-director Vipul Shah and Tamil film producer and IIMA alumnus Prof Bharathan Kandaswamy, who will be on campus for this event. The final winners will then have their movies screened on the next two days of Confluence. Issues such as ragging, problems of diamond workers, relocation problems etc would be studied in this event.
Another key event for Tata Confluence 2010 is ‘Podium’. It is an attempt at involving the students in determining innovative solutions in order to solve the challenges of making the market place, the government and the society a more inclusive one. This event has received entries on various topics such as CSR activities that can be undertaken, new Business Models that cater to the BOP Market, developing a framework to evaluate inclusiveness of public policy, PPP Models that can combat corruption, dignified Living for everyone and many more. The final round of the event will be held at RJMCEI auditorium on Nov 26, 27 and 28 from 1.30 to 3.30 in the afternoon.
With less than a week to go for Confluence 2010, the excitement on campus is palpable as the students wait for the mega event to start.
