MP High Court orders probe in allegations against IIM Indore Director

Trouble doesnt seem to end for IIM Indore Director N Ravichandran. The Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed the ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and the Chairman and board of governors of IIM Indore to investigate into the allegation being put against the director of financial irregularities.


MP High Court issued the directives after hearing a petition filed by Dr P K Singh and six others on May 28, 2012. Justice U C Maheshwari had asked to submit the report within six months. Advocate Vivek Dalal is representing Dr Singh in the court.


Earlier in April 2012, IIM Indore Chairman L N Jhunjhunwala had put allegations against Ravichandran of financial irregularities in the institutes funds. Around six months back, eight professors of IIM Indore registered their complaints with Jhunjhunwala alleging director of financial irregularities and corruption.


However, sources inside IIM Indore feels that, Prof Ravichandran is one the most experienced directors that IIM Indore have had since its inception 12 years back and IIM Indore has come up with many innovative things under his aegis. Prof Ravichandran has all the proofs with him that shall prove him innocent of the entire allegation being put against him, exerted the source.

Prof Ravichandran has so far not commented on any of the developments in the matter.
