It is said in IIMK lore that many years ago, it was a few handful who got together to start a tradition – a contest of skill that would recognize and reward brilliance among their peers. They called it ‘Backwaters’, musing on the contrast between the intensity of the contest and the placidity of its setting. From then on, the tradition only grew. Reputation spread far and wide bringing the best minds from every part of the country to a common battleground – the IIM Kozhikode Campus. Today, Backwaters reaches over 135 Colleges from 42 locations in India, channelling the ideas and energies of bright young talent into solutions of relevance to business and society. We are proud to welcome you to yet another episode of this magnum opus – Backwaters’ 13.
