The interviews in the third cluster of the summer placement process got over today. Students got an opportunity to interview with more than 30 companies across a large spectrum of sectors including media, FMCG, telecom, pharma, apparels, advertising, IT, automobile, banking and consulting.

IT major, Wipro made maximum number of offers across multiple roles in consulting, eco-energy and corporate finance. Several recruiters like Airtel, Heinz, Britannia, Marico and Aircel offered sales & marketing roles while Mahindra & Mahindra offered roles in general management. This year once again, automobile giant, Renault, offered international roles.

In line with the changing preferences of students to seek challenging roles in new domains, this cluster also saw several first time recruiters like Ogilvy & Mather, S.Kumar’s Group, Arvind Brands and Onicra. Navin Talreja, Managing Partner, Ogilvy & Mather, commented, "We came in with the expectations that the candidates will be very strong in numerical abilities but we were pleasantly surprised with the varied dimensions that the candidates also possess in terms of skill sets especially on the softer aspects which will truly add value to an advertising agency like us."

One of our students has chosen to intern with Mr. P.D Rai, Member of Parliament and an IIMA alumnus. The student would support the legislator to participate actively in parliamentary and national policy making processes, as well as project management on specific initiatives at national and constituency level.

The next Cluster on 18 November will also include opportunities of interning with several start-ups apart from firms in niche consulting, financial services and general management domains.
