MBA (Part-time) Technology Management

For the Indian industry to gain global competitiveness, effective management of technology is crucial. This would mean using technology as a strategic variable to gain competitive advantage and would require an organization to critically understand processes of technology planning and strategy, management of technology transfer and absorption, technology forecasting and assessment, technology acquisition and international negotiations, commercialization of new technology, technology implementation and adaptation, management of innovation and R&D, intellectual property rights, project management, entrepreneurship, technology financing and marketing. The part-time MBA programme with focus on "Technology Management " is aimed at fulfilling these requirements so as to enable the managers to effectively contribute in evolving core competencies in Indian industry.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc. Agriculture Engineering (Minimum 4 years after 10+2)

  • Master’s degree in any branch of Physical/ Chemical/ Mathematical Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Application, Electronic Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research, Computational/ Information Science, Agriculture or Master’s Degree in Commerce/ Economics.

  • Those appearing in the final year examination may also apply. However, the candidates must finish their final qualifying examination before the last date of registration, i.e. 31st July 2004 (exact date to be notified in admission letter). Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (of all the years/semesters) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale or equivalent in the above mentioned degree programmes essential for admission. In the case of part-time students a minimum experience of two years (as on 1st August 2003) will be required in addition to the above requirements. There is a relaxation of 5% in marks or equivalent in CGPA for SC/ST candidates and as per Institute norms for PH category. Those having applied to IIT Delhi MBA programmes on qualifying the JMET 2003 will be short listed and then invited for a group discussion and interview, which will be held at IIT Delhi.
