Financial Assistance
All the FPM students will be granted a financial assistance of Rs. 10,000/- pm.for a maximum period of four years. Students with exemption from the first year’s thesis work will get financial assistance for three years. In addition a contingency grant will also be given to the students.

Facilities

Computer Center
MDI has a state of art computing facility consisting of 291 PC nodes, 6 IBM Pentium based servers, 1 IBM RISC Server and 1 Tulsient CD/DVD Server connected on a high speed fiber optic/UTP based network in a distributed Windows NT/95/98 and UNIX environment. All these nodes have access to the Internet through a 2 MBPS leased line. The leading ERP software BAAN IV under collaboration program is installed and being used for teaching purpose. The component based ERP software IFS has also been installed for teaching and research purpose. Application software like MS Project, Primavera, Success Planned, Oracle 8i, SPSS, SQL Server, Rationale Suite Enterprise are extensively used. Facilities for printing include high speed Laser JET Network Printers.

Assessment, an online software for grading, course registration, faculty feedback, attendance in class, conducting online evaluation, etc. has also been installed on the network. This can be selectively accessed by various sections of MDI community (students, faculty, program, administration, etc.) to get the current status on line.

The campus wide 100 MBPS network with optical fiber backbone and structured cabling provides intranet as well as internet connectivity between and /to all computers with faculty, students, PGPM/NMP academic block, administration, hostel rooms and faculty residence.

Library
MDI is its air-conditioned and fully automated Library. The Library has a collection of over 53,000 volumes, which include 8250 bound volumes of periodicals. 325 current periodicals are subscribed to regularly. The collection also contains press clippings, statistical publications, annual reports of top private and public sector companies and financial institutions, case studies, working papers, reprints, microfilms, educational video-films, etc.
