Short - Listing Process

Short-listing is based on a written test known as SNAP test (www.snaptest.org) conducted all over India followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. SCMHRD accepts only SNAP scores.

SCMHRD follows the process of 'Selective Meriting' for the selection of its candidates. This implies that SNAP score is just one of the criteria considered for short-listing a candidate. Weightage is given to candidate's academic qualification and performance, work experience and extra-curricular activities.

Selection Process - GD/PI

Candidates shortlisted after SNAP test will have to go through a group process consisting of a group discussion and a group task. This process is conducted at major cities across India. Group process is an elimination round - in the sense that only candidates performing over and above a certain predefined merit as assessed by our expert panelists are selected to appear for personal interview. Group process is an in-depth selection process extending over 50 minutes. The personal interview has a separate interview panel to access the candidate. The panel will interview the candidate for over 20 minutes.

Merit and Waiting List

After the completion of interviews at various locations across the country, we compile the performance of all the candidates who have appeared for the interview and generate a ranked list based on their overall performance. Weightage is given to SNAP score, academic performance, work-experience, GD scores and PI scores. Highest weightage is given to the personal interview scores at this stage. Merit list equivalent to the number of available seats is declared on our website. A waiting list in order of rank is also declared. All candidates are also sent an individual e-mail with regards to their position on the list.

Pedagogy

The pedagogy consists of various methods ranging from classroom coaching to case studies, role-plays, laboratory exercises, assignments, field exercises, projects etc.

The methods of study are designed to bring out the best in the students. The students are expected to participate actively in these processes.

Reservation of Seats

There is no reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged students. Management quota students will have to apply through the Symbiosis Society.
