ISB launches POSEIDON - An Inter B-school Festival
Over 150 Students from Top B-schools to Participate

Hyderabad, November 26, 2004: The Indian School of Business, presents 'Poseidon' - An Inter B-school Festival. This event will be held on Nov. 27-28, 2004 with over 150 participants from 20 of the top business schools across the country.

"Poseidon is a unique opportunity for an MBA student to test his skills with the best in the country. ISB is proud to be hosting such an event", says Shrinivas Chellappa, President of the ISB student body.

The event is being organised exclusively by students of ISB. It is being organised on a grand scale with contests ranging from a unique Business Strategy Simulation Game called TWISTER, to a first time ever case contest on the Energy sector. The event will also feature informal events like a fashion show and a rock show by the popular rock band - Indian Ocean.

TWISTER which is a Business Strategy Simulation Game used by primarily by B-school students in top international B-schools. ISB true to its pioneering traditions has brought this to Indian students for the first time. This is the first time this simulation game is being played in India on such a large scale. With 350 teams registered from both national and international b-schools like the IIMs, XLRI, Asian Institute of Management (Manila), Carnegie Mellon University, Tuck School of Business (Darmouth), LUMS (Lahore), the event is expected to be a closely fought contest. The Energy case competition will be judged by industry leaders like Atul Chandra (ex-MD ONGC Videsh Ltd.) and Rohit Kumar (Vice President, Energy Vertical, Wipro Ltd.).

The event also promises prize money of around Rs 3 lakhs for the winners. The sponsors for the event include Andhra Bank, TAFE, Citigroup, WIPRO, Sun Microsystems, Satyam Computers, Google, Patni Computers, Coke, Radio Mirchi and India Infoline.
