Bank of America - Lecture Series Finance enthusiasts at the FMS eagerly awaited the guest lecture series conducted by Bank of America on 30th November and 1st December 2004, and they were delighted with the wait. Country Treasurer and Managing Director, Mr. Sanjeev Bajaj and Vice President and Head, Derivatives Sales, Mr. Joydeep Sen Gupta took the sessions on 30th November. Mr. Bajaj spoke on Asset and Liability Management and risk Management. He covered various topics starting from the types of risks facing a bank to various risk analysis models to minimize risks like Gap, Duration and Value at Risk. Mr. Sengupta spoke on options and forwards. He started with hedging techniques and types of options and futures and covered advanced topics like delta trading. The duo held the audience spellbound by their crisp presentations and a lively interactive session. Principal, Capital Markets, Bank of America, and FMS alumnus, Mr. Vipul Mehrotra took the session on 1st December. He spoke on corporate debt raising starting with the basics of corporate banking, the Indian Banking Sector, the key players and main drivers for growth. He further went on to discuss the corporate banking revenue model and the trends in global banking. The Bank of America Lecture series provided the students with a good insight into the aspects of Asset and Liability Management and Risk Management.
